At the same time, digital art raises new equity concerns, as it requires access to smartphones and internet, which not all residents have.
Second, climate and environmental themes will become increasingly central to community public art, as neighborhoods around the world grapple with climate change impacts such as heatwaves, flooding, and air pollution. Artists will increasingly combine public murals with functional climate solutions, such as heat-reflective paint that cools buildings, green wall installations that improve air quality, and flood-resistant mural designs.
